Well, I missed the pool stuff...but oh well. This year I may be less interested than ever. It barely registered yesterday that the tourney was underway. So different from years past, when I would look forward to watching as many games as possible. But college athletics have taken a turn towards the NFL model, parity and mediocrity and the like. There are no powerhouses. The upset here and there doesn't really mean anything anymore. You can't tell the difference between Manhattan and Florida, and the "upset" win is really a matter of expectancy.
