I certainly would have changed the playoff format if I had enough evidence that week 17 was totally meaningless. I saw the comment earlier, before the draft, and called out for a sort of vote so I could change it before the draft. Personally, I don't care what the other sites say, the act of pulling out prized guys cannot be rampant enough when teams are trying to get the best record, into the playoffs, etc. There are only a couple of teams at the end of a year, if any, who are totally comfortable by the last week to simply bench their guys. Last year's New England Patriots had the best record and used Tom Brady nearly the whole game, and in a 31-0 revenge game over the Bills no less. I hope that the decision to include another week of football, a valid week of football in my opinion, does not take away from anyone's enjoyment of the league, for that was not my intent.
