To replace Griffey, the Reds thought about signing - Greg Vaughn! As much as I love the guy for 1999, he's not that great anymore. Still, a lot of people would love to have him back, as much fun as he was. Anyhow, it's Ruben Mateo and Reggie Taylor in center for now. Probly a step down, I'd say.
