Tupac, Elf

Yeah, I took this for granted as well. We don't really pay attention to Olympic qualifying because it's usually a done deal...you can count on the U.S. to qualify, so much so that you forget that's there's such a thing.

Two movie reviews:

ELF: This is going to be eventually revered as a comedy classic, but the last 20 minutes of this movie nearly, totally sink it. Will Ferrell, who I've heard only one guy say to me is not funny, has some brilliant moments in here, playing the wide-eyed innocent man-child. The whole Christmas-spirit thing at the end is so bad that I almost forgot the rest, but the other hour is good stuff.

TUPAC RESURRECTION: Not the hard-hitting style of documentary with an objective voice that makes CAPTURING THE FRIEDMANS and SPELLBOUND such awesome docs, but it's a least interesting to review the life of one of the most successful rappers ever. Although it naturally has a one-sided bent to it, with his mom serving as executive producer, it does have a couple of objective moments, but only through the eyes of a loving parent. It's OK, and it will be a better rental.
