Prediction: Smarty pulls this one off. He's simply a better horse than everyone else. All of the intangibles seem to point against it, since everyone expect him to win, and especially he being from Philly, city of bitter losers, but things seemed in favor of Funny Cide last year (if only his jockey hadn't put him in front at the start of the race! I think he got tired. Dammit...). I guess I'm pulling for him, but I'm not quite as excited as I was last year. I'm a Funny Cide kind of guy. Too bad my Derby racing program got left at Churchill Downs, because it might be worth something in a few hours.
