Pred's lockout statement

For what it's worth:

NASHVILLE PREDATORS STATEMENT ON THE DELAY OF THE 2004-05 SEASON

"Today the Board of Governors confirmed that NHL teams will not play until the current Collective Bargaining Agreement is replaced. As a result, the opening of training camps will be delayed and the start of the 2004-05 regular season is in jeopardy. The League has our full support as we take this difficult but necessary step toward creating a new economic system that will help the Predators in the future.

Given our team-building philosophy and development that culminated with our first playoff berth last Spring, we're confident a new system can lead to even greater success. Our fans have been an integral part of our growth and we apologize to them and our business partners for the inconvenience this necessary action may cause. We hope to be back in action soon and believe the best is yet to come for the Predators and Nashville!"

Well, I hope the best is yet to come. I hope I see them play again. Dammit.

(And, oh yes, hope I didn't come on too strong about Week 17 - just a point, nowhere near ruining my enjoyment of fantasy football.)
