Genius

I don't know if you really call the onside kicks anything, today, other than pure balls-to-the-wall nothing to lose. The Titans, far out of it in the AFC, decided to do anything and everything to try and win. It's not genius, but it's common sense, and I'll tell you why.

Let's say you have an injury-depleted defense that was going to give up huge yards all day no matter what, which is what the Titans have. Well, why not try an onside kick? You can get the ball, and if you fail, you let the Colts offense play with forty or so yards instead of eighty. Good reasoning suggests that the Titan defense would have given up that forty-yard net anyway, and lost time on the clock. They would have likely tried it on every play had they scored as prolifically in the rest of the game (the second week in a row, Titans can't get points after the 1st).

By the way, do the Titans have the most field goals blocked against them in the past five years than any team? I'd say they'd have to own that stat.
