Fun Clips Regarding the Election
So, much of the shape of my thinking lately, admittedly, comes from some sources that have a bias to them. The Daily Show with Jon Stewart long ago left behind any idea that they were sharpening their knives for both sides. While they have fun at Democrats' expense, they certainly reach deep for their points about Republicans. And during the RNC they came up with some really good ones.
The first one is an example in incredible hypocrisy that actually makes me really angry. I've always hated this kind of ever-changing point of view to fit the message at the time:
Then, the McCain campaign has begun to run with this "change" idea, even though it's their own party that they are touting change from. And if it rings false, the following might be why. You can watch the whole thing if you'd like, but the area at 4:18 is what I'm talking about.
Plus, a couple of years ago I was hearing about how John McCain used to tout a certain message, but obviously because his views weren't good enough for his own party, he started changing them in order to be more accepted. Here's a clip of McCain's change over the years:
Now, I'd actually like to see some things that are pro-McCain, anti-Obama, pro-Obama, with this kind of research. And that's what I hope to find over the next few weeks, so that I can have a better understanding of who to vote for and why.

Some of that is fun, yes, but Rove and O'Reilly and the like (and Olbermann) aren't running for office. They're just guys who say whatever to make their side look good.
The last video shows that McCain is a politician. You could make a similar one for Obama, such as how he changed his tone on the Georgia conflict. It's not that hard to dig this stuff on any of these people. Did you know Biden was a plagarist? Good times.
