CLUB DREAD: One of the early entries into the Worst of the Year contest, this "comedy" wants more to be a horror movie than anything, with actual sickening deaths and everything. Way too long for a movie of this type, and no real characters to latch onto, although they want you to take a shine to Bill Paxton's alcoholic womanizing Jimmy Buffett wannabe. "HOUSE OF THE DREAD."

DIRTY DANCING: HAVANA NIGHTS: The original DIRTY DANCING is one of those movies that I barely remember, the cult hit amongst millions of teenage girls was more popular for its soundtrack than anything. It was a pleasant time waster, a slice of 80's nostalgia. The "prequel" tries to be so much more than it is, and that's why it fails so miserably...It tries to be this dancing movie...with a Cuban revolution thrown in to boot! It's not a good movie by any means.
