SPIDERMAN 2: An awesome movie. You know what I like the most about this movie? It's that everyone can enjoy it. There's lots of fun and cool superhero action for the kiddies, and good characters and morals for the adults. You wouldn't feel bad about bringing an eight year old to see it, because there's nothing really offensive in it. And, while it will be lost on a child, you can understand Peter Parker's dilemma, and be impressed by his emotional growth. This is a movie that an eight year old can grow up watching, enjoying more and more with each passing year. The main reason why I love film, and art in general, is that it can mix with you soul, can come into your mind and heart. With a movie like this, I honestly felt like a better person for having seen it. All that, and still cool superhero storyline and effects! Yes!

It's great to see Sam Raimi developing into a director that can make a great movie on a large budget. The action sequence on the train was some of the best work I've ever seen, building impressively on his Evil Dead experience. Spiderman flying through the city remains an awesome visual, which is so welcome in an era of silly computer graphics that don't draw you in. The trick is to make you say "wow, that was cool!" instead of "hey, look at those computer graphics." Raimi does that well.
