Baseball

Mike, it looks like, with the stats that are up for grabs and what happened yesterday, that you'll be winning this World Series. I had 4 guys who did not play (and several other underachieving guys who did--Beltre has been gold all year except for these last three weeks), and that hurt. I had to go for major overhaul for the last day to try to get some people who would definitely play--I just think it's too late.

Well, not everything is decided yet, but if the Astros win the Wild Card they will be playing the Braves in the NLDS for the 3rd time. You know what scares me? Those pesky, "Astros have never won a playoff series," notations. The Braves very well eliminated the Cubs, but the hottest team in the NL are the Astros. It's a lose-lose situation. If you laid down for the Cubs, they'd have an edge in the playoffs because they know they can beat you, and when you eliminate the Cubs, you open the door for some team that is playing awesome baseball and has been clawing for the last month to get in. I hope they lose today, the Giants win, and there's a WC playoff. I'm not hoping for the Braves to play the Giants or anything, but at least the Wild Card rep would get a little more tired.
