We've Got Our Center
As expected by many of us, the Preds have traded for a Center. Journeyman Mike Sillinger was the Blues leading scorer with 22, and St. Louis gains prospect Timofei Shishkanov for his services. He's 34 years old, so this is someone we may only be able to use him for a couple of years, but teaming him with Kariya should benefit the first line tremendously. We needed a shot in the arm after the last two losses. I wonder now if there will be other moves.
Here's a bit more information from the press release:
Nashville will be the 11th NHL team for Sillinger, who has posted 439 points (188g-251a) in 877 career games over 15 NHL seasons with Detroit, Anaheim, Vancouver, Philadelphia, Tampa Bay, Florida, Ottawa, Columbus, Phoenix and St. Louis. He posted career-highs in goals (23), assists (29) and points (52) with Tampa Bay and Florida in 1999-00.
Eleven different teams!
UPDATE: Our color analyst, Stanley Cup winning coach Terry Crisp, weighs in positively on the deal.

Woo-Hoo!
I like this signing quite a bit! I'm just wondering who's leaving from the centers already on the roster.
