My take on Garciaparra is that the Cubs have yet another right-handed bat in the middle of Sosa, Alou, Lee, and Ramirez. A lot of good bats, yes, but no variation. I guess Garciaparra is at least better than Gonzalez, Cubs fans can take to heart.
