Outrage!

I think there may be change no matter what happens. The losses have sort of gotten the USA selection guys scrambling now, and even if they win the gold (unlikely) I think the fact that they can't put teams away quickly and keep getting behind will be a factor for 2008. This team is completely without guys who can nail threes, which is important since this team is being zoned to death. The name I keep hearing should have been here is Michael Redd. And hell, what about somebody like Derek Fisher? Allen Iverson gets a lot of credit because he's tough and usually the the leading scorer, but damn does he build a house with all of his bricks. You could have had some real role players on this team (I did hear some people, like Detroit's Ben Wallace, didn't want to go). Instead, it looks very much like they thought that the three highly-touted rookies (Lebron, Carmelo, and Wade) would make a sexy combo with last year's ROY Stoudamire and vets Duncan and Iverson, among others. Lamar Odom has been good, they can't stop talking about him. And Lebron has started to take over games, which may be a good sign.
