More RNC talk

Yes, I saw the Schwarzenegger speech and I agree with the cliche stuff. Also, he shouldn't have said something like, "This country will welcome you even if you are like me and didn't know English until his twenties," all the while garbling that sentence up in his Austrian accent. That whole speech probably could fill an entire "Daily Show" with riffs.

The Bush daughters...geez...what was the line? Something about their dad needing something to do for four years? Like as if the presidency was just sort of something you kind of do to fill time? I understand the humorous nature of the Bush daughter segment, but it was a misfire, as was most of the other things they said.

However, the best line may have been Schwarzenegger when he was talking about how, before the war in Iraq, the polls showed a war there would have been unpopular--but Bush went in anyway. He said something like, "...leadership isn't decided by polls , it's by making a decision and sticking with it." I've always admired that, the Bush administration's unwillingness to be affected by polls, a segment of the population who don't represent everyone.
