World Series Games 1 and 2

I'll tell ya', this has been a decidedly uncompelling series so far, despite the history involved. The Red Sox have gone against the grain of other Sox teams in the past and have made 8 errors in 2 games that didn't cost them a contest. As always, we'll see how the 2-0 team plays on the road, but if the Cardinal pitchers continue to pitch to this lineup like they have, we'll see the historic Sox victory in a sweep.

The surprises are the emergence of Mark Bellhorn, clutch since Game 6 of the ALCS, and I'll continue to state it as a surprise--Curt Schilling with Roy Hobbs-esque blood leaking into his uniform as he shuts down the Cardinal bats, the middle order in particular. If the Sox had any smell of blood here, they should win this series before he has to pitch again so he can get surgery.

It will, of course, not be easy. The Cardinals are 5-0 at home this postseason and 1-4 on the road. The Cardinals will have to do everything they can to win these 3 games in St. Louis and hope for the traditional Sox meltdown. Boston is 4-2 on the road and has an also-fabulous 5-1 record now at home.
