Oh Joy!!

The Reds have fired their horrible GM Dan O'Brien! Dan, who didn't bring in any good pitching, got rid of Barry Larkin without ceremony, and hired one of his best friends as manager, shouldn't have been hired in the first place. At least Jim Bowden gave us a team that could possibly content each year.

I like this new owner already. He's not afraid to make changes if there aren't results. Now, how does the manager survive with his friend gone from the front office? And with Sweet Lou Pinella already contacted for a "special advisory" job? I think there are more changes to come, with hopes for actual pitching in the future.

UPDATE: The poll at Cincinnati.com has 592 agreeing with the decision versus 30 who disagree. I'll bet they sell a few season tickets tomorrow.

I think anyone could see that this dude was a horrible GM. I bet that's a tremendous weight lifted.
