More Shameless Site Pimping
Any outsiders who might still be coming here to see reviews should go to my new site nymoviereviews. New ones up for The Prestige and Flags of Our Fathers (and later, Flicka); a great weekend at the movies.
Louisville and Nashville, sports and movies, and anything else we want to talk about. Comments are always welcome.

Two glowing reviews? It's about time some decent movies started to came out. It's past the summer filth and on to the obtuse dramas that can apparently only survive in colder climes.
Although I will probably end up seeing The Prestige, I'm a bit sick of this magician movie bullshit. Hollywood loves going on a roll and sticking to the same subject matter for about a year. "Oh sure, I'd love to see another Capote movie!" It's like meteors and volcanoes all over again.
What's weirder is that in the three movies about Magicians, Hugh Jackman plays one in two of them. Saw The Prestige last night and loved it, although, as you said Chris there was a big mystery that wasn't too hard to figure out. I assume we're talking about the same one. I also saw "The Illusionist" a couple of weeks ago, and really liked it as well.
