1. The Departed. Does Scorsese find his Goodfellas mojo as he goes back to his world of gangsters? The results...are hard to define.

2. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning. Or: More of the Same, Only It Seems More Important When We Put Vietnam In It.

3. Employee of the Month. The problem with the excuse filmmakers often make, "What do you expect, an Oscar contender?" is that it gives them a scapegoat to be lazy when they make movies.

4. Also, I will be launching my own movie reviews site soon. More details on that later. For now, I'll continue posting to L & N for this weekend until I can merge comfortably into a new site.
