Pac-Mania
Just wanted to point out to you guys that Yahoo Sports evidently thinks PacMan Jones is so newsworthy, so bubbling over with news, that he deserves his own special news section:
"Latest on PacMan Jones." Nice. Because there's so much news about him...he needs his own section. Because the world is waiting on pins and needles to find out what's going to happen to him.
Okay, maybe some people are. But it just seems silly to have a whole separate box at the top of your NFL page dedicated purely to Pac news. Maybe Yahoo Sports knows something I don't know regarding the high demand for all things Pac.

Yeah, this is ridiculous. It's almost like comparing this to the war in Iraq, to have it's own special section for updates.
Funny, though, someone found out I was from Nashville the other day and asked me what I thought the Titans were going to do with Pacman. It's almost like his personal story is more compelling than any other athlete who has ever gotten in trouble. Well, maybe not Ray Lewis, but still up there.
It's not like we're the first city with an NFL franchise that has had to deal with this kind of hype and publicity. Most likely, the fact that the latest incident happened in Las Vegas got it even more notice.
Doesn't make it any more ridiculous, but it falls under all the complaining we do about the likes of Barry Bonds and Terell Owens being the first topic of every sports show whenever they do something stupid, or in Bonds case, good.
Bonds homerun last night is a prime example. I realize that he is chasing this record, and a lot of people think he doesn't deserve the credit. However, everytime he hits a homerun this season are we going to have to deal with 45 minutes of talk on every sports show about this subject? Seriously.
