I think a manager can be judged partly by how many mistakes the team makes on the field. This team is the worst I think I've ever seen, and Boone did nothing about it. They are the only team with over 100 errors on the season. Horrible. And Bob would never get angry at a player, never bench him right away, always thinking they already knew they made a mistake, I guess. He simply didn't run the team well. Jack MacKeon took similar teams to 90+ wins. The last at bat wins only show the character of the guys on the club, not really reflecting on Boone.
