First football post of the year!

Well, it's certainly sad to see Eddie go.  I was hoping that he would take reduced pay and a reduced roll, but I guess he's not willing to let go of the idea that he's a starter yet.  I'm afraid that the only teams that will take that chance will be the truly poorly roun teams, like the Cards.  I have no idea why Jerry Jones is interseted, but Parcells wisely is not.  You simply can't take a gamble on a guy probably past his prime.

I'm happy with the Antowain Smith signing.  With he, a capable back, as a backup to Brown, we have two solid running backs, in a league where injuries are common.  I really liked what I saw from Brown in the playoffs last year against the Ravens.  If he can pull that off for a full season, this is a playoff team again.
