China Movies

Here's one for our movie audience: I read in a 2001 Shanghai guidebook that only 10 Hollywood films are allowed into China each year. I'm not sure if that is still accurate, but I can say that the rules are certainly different. Here are the two films being heavily promoted at the Peace Theater, next to the People's Square in downtown Shanghai:



A bit outdated, huh? But still interesting, as it's fun to see these two promoted in another language.

On a related note, Milk Plus is letting bloggers vote on its annual awards, and I'd vote... if I'd seen any movies last year. But Chris, you may be interested.
