Just going to show how the middle of America gets shafted on the release patterns--It's now getting into February and I still haven't seen Miss Henderson Presents or Transamerica because they haven't been released here yet. Fortunately, they only encompass two nominees between them. Surprises? I think Munich is a slight surprise (and the nom for Spielberg). There was this big deal made about its Oscar campaign (there was none). It beat out Walk the Line, which seemed to be an Oscar favorite. But don't underestimate the power of Spielberg on these matters.
