Titans Game Version 2.0
Thoughts on the game:
-Chris Brown gained 100 yards on 16 carries.....in the first half. So I'm at once anxious to see what he could do with a whole game, and also nervous about whether he'll ever be able to go a full game. Looked great...and I nearly Trotzed when I saw him break that 53-yarder. Great stuff...longest run for any Titan RB since 1998. I feel exactly the same about Chris Brown after this game as I did before, though...tons of talent, but maybe a bit of a wuss. Prick him, does he not bleed? Step on his ankle, does it not twist? Yes. Yes it does. I sure hope he's not Nashville's new Dunham...pulling a groin or a hammy every third game. If this kid gets injured...then what do we do?
-McNair threw for 73 yards. 73 yards. Not great. Not good. Not even poor, really. Only Fiedler looked worse, with 42 yards, but he played less than half the time McNair did. A.J. Feeley threw for 168, more than the other two combined. Stevo has to do better than this. At least his nine completions were spread around to five different receivers.
-D looked outstanding. Loved the turnovers caused. Liking our D yet again this year a lot. I'll take Rolle and Bullock over Kearse any day.
-I'm giving that 12-year-old kicker a pass this game. Sure, he booted one....but he was just signed yesterday, and he punted six times for an average of 45 yards. Not bad considering yesterday morning he was playing Xbox somewhere wishing he had friends.
-Seriously, how do we win 17-7 against this Miami team?! Yawner was right Chris...I muted it and turned on a CD after a while...before losing interest all together in the fourth.
-The Titans fan in me worries greatly about those Colts, especially if Chris Brown can't go or can't go the whole game. But the Colts fan in me likes the matchup a little better after today. McNair and company were not clicking on the passing game.
Cannot wait for tomorrow. Football all day long. There'll be plenty of great plays to discuss with all the rest of the teams getting going.
