Everyone Chant...

My review of Memoirs of a Geisha will be coming later today, but this post is directed at ESPN Radio.

Everyone pretend they are in section 303 right now and yell:

E-S-P-N...E-S-P-N...E-S-P-N...YOU SUCK!

You don't give scores! You don't give scores!

Three times in the past week I have drove down the lonely road home, anticipating a Preds score from the vaunted ESPN Radio Sportcenter that occurs every 20 minutes. They give me NBA fucksense and college basketball fuckla and even sorry-ass Bowl Game fuckyhoo. They then "turn to the ice" and give what seems like every NHL score except the Preds game. They're what, 22-7-3 right now, only the 2nd-best in the West and like 3rd or 4th in the entire league? You know, there's more cities in North America than New York, L.A., and even Columbus. Yes, even Columbus. I've heard their scores on ESPN more than the Preds.

I first saw the score when I logged on here and read KW's post. What a world of information we live in. Thank God I know that Toledo's QB threw for 5 TD's tonight or I'd have bit my nails to the quick in anticipation of the events of the all-important race for 67th best college football team in the nation. Maybe Athlon will give them a respect ranking next year before the season starts. Holy fucking Toledo.

Section 303 is the loud Predator section that likes to insult the opposite goalie at games, in case anyone is wondering.

I almost never tune into ESPN for anything, unless it's an event I want to watch. Even then, it's not much. You'd think I'd be the target audience, but they're losing a lot of guys like me.

I like Mike & Mike, but that's about it. Patrick is boring and never takes a stand, Kusilias is maybe the worst sports talk show host in history, and I don't even know what that "Herd" thing is. Bill Simmons has been good filling in for Kusilias this week though.

I liked Kornheiser. They lost me after that.

I agree, Paul; they lost me after Tony. I hate that I missed Simmons this week.

It's amazing how great the Dan Patrick show was with Rob Dibble, and then when he went to XM, the show went South. Who knew Dibble could be the piece to a perfect puzzle. I do like Mike and Mike, though, it makes for a fun drive to work in the morning. And it's a lot better than the local Wycheck show.

I like Mike and Mike as well...they make me laugh. The rest of ESPN's national shows, though, are not good. I usually stick to the Fox national shows: JT The Brick is very enjoyable...especially regarding the NFL.

Why did they have to take away Nashville's access to Sporting News Radio?
